Track and Field season ends with three records being broken

The boys and girls track and field season came to a close last week at El Dorado High School on Thursday May 16th.

Three of the current county sports league records fell during the event including the boys A 4×100 relay, boys A 400m, and boys A 800m.

The Valley View boys A relay team set a new record of 49.48 in that race.  The previous record was held by Herbert Green in 2013 with a time of 50.06.

The 400m boys A record of 57.28 by O’Leary of Pleasant Valley in 2008 was beaten on Thursday by Finley Mummy of Sierra Ridge with a new record time of 56.83

In the 800m boys A the previous record of 2:21.40 by Sallee of Gold Trail in 2019 was beaten by LJ Garel from CMP with a new record time of 2:14.50.
