This week entails the final week of the boys soccer season.  Games are scheduled for Monday-Thursday with the championship tournament on Saturday at Union Mine.

In Division 1 Markham and John Adams are tied atop the standings with 9 points apiece while three more teams are within striking distance of the first round bye for Saturday (Pleasant Grove, Herbert Green, and Valley View)

In Division 2 Golden Hills and Camino sit at the top and have the inside track to the byes on Saturday.  Gold Trail and Sierra Ridge could catch up with strong play this week.

The Track and Field season has its 3rd practice/qualifying meet of the season on Wednesday at Union Mine. That meet also will host the 3rd annual Pentathlon event where some of the athletes will put themselves to the test competing in 5 of the events in one day.  This will be the final week of preparation leading up to next week’s trials and finals on Tuesday the 12th at UMHS and Friday the 15th at EDHS.
