The El Dorado Sports League resumes play this week with the boys basketball season playing a full slate of regular season games while the girls soccer season draws to an end with games on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and finishes this next Saturday with both D1 and D2 tournaments at Union Mine.

In 7th grade boys basketball Pleasant Grove and Valley View sit atop the D1 standings at 5-1 each.  Valley View holds the head to head tie breaker.  In the Division 2 Camino stands alone at 6-0.  The 5th/6th place teams will face off against the D3 1st and 2nd place teams at a play-in tournament.  Those 4 teams currently are CHSA, Pleasant Valley, Golden Hills, and Millers Hill.

In 8th grade boys basketball Pleasant Grove is in the lead at 6-0 for D1 and Marble Valley is 6-0 in D2.  Gold Trail holds the play-in 6th seed for D2 and will play the D3 top team Golden Hills if things don’t change in the last 3 games of the season.

In Girls Soccer with just 2 games to play Herbert Green and Pleasant Grove are tied atop the D1 standings at 5-0-1 each.  These two teams will play on Tuesday with the winner having the highest chance of winning the regular season.

Sierra Ridge holds the top spot at 5-1-0 in Division 2 while Millers Hill and CHSA both vie for the 6th and final spot in this weekends tournament.
